How much sleep should your child get?

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends 10 to 13 hours of sleep per day for all children ages 3 to 5.  Not getting enough sleep can be linked to obesity, poor academic achievement, depression and grumpiness.  The major cause of not getting the amount of sleep needed is a later bed time. More screen time is definitely linked to the later bed times.  Children that watch 2 or more hours of tv or other screen time each day tend to get less sleep than those that do not watch as much. Parents should try to get their kids to bed earlier.  Make a set bed time and “stick to it”. And while your at it stick them on an organic mattress. There productivity will improve a lot.   Call 1-484-851-3636
